A self-funded non-profit built to actually help people — faster internet access for families, emergency Wi‑Fi in disasters, community health outreach, education, and sustainable development.
Six pillars of action — each designed to create lasting, measurable change in communities that need it most.
Free and subsidized broadband for low‑income households, students, and rural communities — closing the digital divide permanently.
ConnectivityRapid‑deploy communications hubs, emergency Wi‑Fi, and logistics support for families and first responders when crises hit hardest.
Emergency ResponseCommunity wellness checks and targeted health support through trusted local partners — responsive, practical, and dignity‑first.
Community HealthScholarships, school supply kits, and learning resources ensuring every student can thrive — in the classroom and online.
EducationRenewable energy and infrastructure improvements that lift communities with durable, locally‑led solutions built to last.
SustainabilityDedicated programs for Indigenous communities, women in need, persons with disabilities, newcomers, and next‑generation youth leaders.
InclusionTraditional charity structures can be slow. We are different — built from the ground up as a carrier‑grade operator's humanitarian arm, with the infrastructure, the people, and the will to act immediately.
No bureaucracy. No delay. No excuses. When a community needs connectivity or disaster relief, we deploy. When families need help, we show up.
Operations revenue keeps overhead near zero, maximizing every donated dollar's direct impact.
Full financial reporting and independent auditing — accountability is our foundation.
Built on WestNet North America's CRTC/FCC‑registered telecom backbone — real tech delivering real connectivity.
Every program is co‑designed with the communities we serve — local voices shape every decision.
Bridging the digital divide in one of Minneapolis’s most underserved communities — affordable broadband, tech support, and digital inclusion where it’s needed most.
WestNet Humanitarian Services has been active in Minnesota since 2020, when the organization mobilized PPE supply and distribution efforts across the Twin Cities during the height of the COVID‑19 pandemic. Masks, gloves, sanitizer, and protective equipment were sourced and delivered to frontline workers, shelters, and community organizations throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul at a time when supply chains had collapsed.
That on‑the‑ground presence never stopped. In December 2025 WHS formalized its Minnesota operations, registering as a Foreign Nonprofit Corporation with the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State (File #: 1613718000020) and bringing its full carrier‑grade broadband and digital inclusion platform to North Minneapolis.
North Minneapolis faces one of the widest digital divides in the Twin Cities metro. Low‑income households, students, and seniors still lack reliable broadband — limiting employment, remote learning, telehealth, and civic participation. WHS is closing that gap.
Rapid sourcing and direct delivery of masks, gloves, sanitizer, and protective equipment to frontline workers, shelters, and community organizations across the Twin Cities.
Affordable high‑speed internet for low‑income households, students, and seniors — no contracts, no hidden fees.
Tech support, digital literacy workshops, and device access so every community member can participate in the digital economy.
Built on WestNet’s CRTC/FCC‑registered telecom backbone — enterprise‑quality connectivity at community‑friendly prices.
