WestNet Wireless Canada: No Fee for Incoming Text Messages
For immediate
release
Thursday July 10, 2008
In response to consumer complaints against TELUS Mobility and Bell
Mobility for charging for incoming text messages, Calgary-based WestNet
Wireless said it will not charge for any incoming text messages to devices.
"Competitors have to start offering consumers service comparable to other
companies in the United States and the rest of the world." Says Abdul Traya from
his downtown Calgary office. "I will never charge any of our
subscribers such a fee, this is why our company will continue to grow."
Abdul Traya, who has been contacted by the Federal Industry Minister Jim
Prentice regarding the matter of WestNet's Future, says he will continue being a
leader in wireless innovations for Canada.
